I had worked on a document for over an hour when it suddenly disappeared from my computer screen. I tried “Undo” and everything else I could think of, but nothing worked. I worked at restoring my lost file for quite a long time, but without success and of course I became frustrated. I really didn’t want to redo all that work.
So, what are we supposed to do when we are at the end of our rope? Pray of course, but as most of us have a tendency to do I didn’t call for help until I had exhausted every other option. I finally gave up, bowed my head and prayed a simple prayer. I recommitted my life and ways to God and told Him of my problem and my desire. I said; “Lord I have done my best, trying every thing I know to fix the problem. Please spare me the work of retyping this document. This is something for Your cause and Your purposes. If your name will be glorified by doing this please restore the document now. Thank you, Lord, for hearing and answering this petition. Amen.”
The Lord God, my Creator, my Savior, my Friend and my Provider answered immediately. I don’t know what I might have touched, if anything, but my lost document came back on the screen right away. Of course that was a time for another prayer and this time it was a prayer of thanksgiving.
Whether He caused me to touch something which brought the document back, or God touched the computer with His own finger and brought it back really makes no difference to me. I just know that He brought my document back! He answered my prayer, and I am so grateful.
