God Must Chuckle

“I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel ...”

“I will bless the Lord at all times ...”

Psalm 16:7 - KJV; Psalm 34:1 KJV

How can I, a mere human, “bless the Lord”?

I was thinking about God planning for us to discover a gem from a verse - something that we go WOW over, and He knows we’re about to discover it. He’s been waiting and wanting for us to discover it. He’s been leading us to it. And He knows that when we get there we are just going to go, WOW!

And when we do, He chuckles over the joy and excitement that we are getting, joy that He’s planned for us all along. He’s excited that we’re excited.

It’s like us watching our kids learn to ride a bike. We know the freedom, the wind in the hair,... but then they get it. And they look around to see if you’ve let go of the bike, and they see you standing way back there because you’ve already let go, and you just stand there enjoying their joy.

And think of the happiness you get when you see someone you love happy, and knowing that you’ve contributed to that happiness too.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.”

Psalm 103:1

Does God have an ego issue?
