A Country Home

Several years ago my wife, young daughter and I moved to north central Minnesota. We needed to purchase a place to live as we were staying with my mother-in-law. She was willing to allow us to put a mobile home next to her home and so we went looking for an inexpensive home to move in and set up.
We found an older home that was in our price range and used all the money we had to purchase and move it. But before we could set it up we found that an old farmstead just down the road had come up for sale. We realized that it would be a much better place to raise our daughter and that we should try and purchase that instead. The bad thing was, we had just used all our money to purchase the mobile home. We had nothing left for a down payment on this farmstead.
I felt very strongly about this old farm place, but didn’t know what to do, so we prayed that if it was God’s will for us to purchase this place then He needed to send someone to purchase the mobile home we had just bought. We need them to buy it from us with cash and for the exact same amount we had paid.
Within a very short time a young man came and looked at what we wanted to sell. He was just fine with buying it, but his folks did not want him to. He purchased it with cash anyway and for exactly what we needed for a down payment to purchase the farmstead. We moved in and lived there for 18 years. We were able to raise our daughter in a very quiet, secluded and relaxed area.
God wants us to be happy and healthy. He cares about both the little things and the big things in our lives. He is so amazing!
